The multiple crises of this past year have taken their toll—on our physical and mental health, our work and finances, our families and loved ones. Women especially have experienced unprecedented setbacks. There’s a lot of stress and grief in our bodies and hearts, and in our communities and the culture at large. But with disruption comes possibility—the potential for personal change and creative growth, and for long overdue racial and social justice, innovation, and healing.

Everywhere we look these days, women are at the forefront of change—doing power differently at home, in relationships, at work, in the arts, in government. To be the best change makers we can be, we need to take care of ourselves and each other. This gathering on the beautiful Omega campus is a time to do just that—to rest in nature, build back resilience, eat well, laugh, cry, and slow down enough to find our way home to ourselves.

It's also a chance to be strengthened by community, to rise together from the ashes of these times, and to learn from our presenters who will shine their wisdom on issues we must grapple with if our culture is to thrive: the legacy of white supremacy, patriarchy, and environmental degradation; creating a care economy; empowering women, girls, and people of all genders; infusing activism with healing, humor, and creativity. For 20 years, the Women & Power conferences have nurtured and catalyzed thousands of women. In this year of change, we’re experimenting with new ways of engaging with presenters. Some will be with us virtually; some will be live; some will lead us in song, movement, and practices for restoring inner peace and courage; all will inspire us, open our minds, and help us step boldly into changing times.
