The best mentorships contain learnings for both the mentor and the mentee. “Don’t create a ‘pink’ TED," was one of the comments I heard in 2010 when we announced the first TEDWomen conference. Such comments almost sidelined the big idea which was that there were many more women in the world with ideas worth spreading than were getting opportunities to speak at the once-a-year TED conference. Now in our 11th year, I’m so thrilled that we will be convening in person in sunny Palm Springs. I hope to see you there!
